Recently a small group of us lunched here on a cold but sunny day. The view from our table overlooking Sydney harbour is sensational and comparable to some of Sydney&#39;s elite dining establishments on the Harbour. The menu is relatively small however covers most taste requirements and included a number of specials. On the day, we found the service friendly, attentive and most importantly non-intrusive allowing us to spend a good 3 hours over some very tasty meals &amp; fine wine all for a modest cost in a casual &amp; comfortable establishment.

Outdoor terrace, next to the beach, dining table on the beach, not far away, children chasing seabirds, the shoal sea water in the swarms of white yachts with the waves and the music in the ears soft undulating, visually accessible sky is a modern urban complex. The scenery and food are 100 points.

Every time I go to gunners barracks I feel that the tea room is in a great location in the park facing the sea, and I remember when I came to eat here. Yesterday I finally got what I wanted, and I went to the store where kk is located in qvb for afternoon tea. As soon as I entered the door, I was attracted by its interior, and then the food and service came, which did not disappoint. The most important thing is to be with friends, chatting and chatting for an afternoon and happy past :) ​

It is a nice restaurant by the water. Service is friendly, food is nice but the fish is a bit overcooked. It can be quite noisy when there is a function.  I think it will feel more peaceful during weekdays.

We had lunch there today food and service was very good lovely views from the kiosk overlooking Nielsen park beach had a long lunch on a winter afternoon fantastic.

If you go here for the view, setting and maybe a swim you&#39;ll come away extremely satisfied. I live nearby and go here regularly. Great place to meet friends, and discuss life while gazing out at the harbour. There is a restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner - and a convenient takeaway cafe attached as well. Staff are always great and my only slight reservation is the lack of healthy menu options which seem to be dominated by breads, egg, bacon etc.

Yes, we had lunch at Nielsen Park Restaurant during a &#39;Perfect Storm&#39; in Sydney last Saturday but the experience was horribly disappointing. There&#39;s no need to promote the menu, value for money or the location - all still adorable. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE SERVICE? The crew looked as though they&#39;d just been pulled off the Centrelink line. Zero customer service skills - no knowledge of POS device operation, no uniform, no attention to detail (guests received incorrect meals and we had to get up and go to the bar every time to order beverages - they only had 3 tables all day!). It was a birthday event and much of the menu was pre-ordered and pre-paid. Nothing arrived as requested.The response - &quot;we&#39;ve run out of the wine you ordered&quot;! They took back the dessert when they were reminded it was for a birthday - it finally came back with a sparkler! Seriously disappointing. I&#39;m glad we&#39;re locals and not tourists. Get it together!

Australian Japanese cuisine and New Zealand Japanese restaurants are almost more interesting than personally think. But the price is quite expensive.

Millennium make the most delicious pizzas. The crust is not too thick and all the ingredients are excellent quality. The prices are good, the staff are friendly and home delivery is always very quick. They do traditional pizzas and also gourmet pizzas, as well as a nice range of pastas. Have dined in a few times too and found it cosy and comfortable. There is such an abundance of Pizza places along Old South Head Road from Rose Bay to Vaucluse (I think there is now 4) but Millennium is our favourite. Highly recommended!
